If you are a cat devotee like me, you need to figure out how to protect your furniture from your cat’s scratching If you are a feline devotee like me, you need to identify how to protect your furniture from your . Scratching is natural for felines so you would want them to continue. What you want to do is get them to scratch where you want them to. Here are four tips on protecting your furniture .

1. Place aluminum foil on the ends of your furniture. Cats do not like to scratch on material like this .

2. Place double sided tape on your furniture . They do not like this either so the cat scratching.

3. Have a can filled with marbles available. When your cat starts to scratch where you do not want him or her to, shake the can loud. This noise will scare them away from your furniture. They will associate the loud noise with their scratching and stop. scratching .


4. Provide a scratch pad. If you provide an attraction to the pad, like a toy or some cat nip, they will use the pad instead of your furniture. Cat nip works the best as an attraction.

These are just four methods of stopping your feline friend from scratching where you do not want them to. If you are thinking of de-clawing your cat, please do not do that. That robs your cat of their natural instincts, is very terrible for them and may affect their personality.

I used all four of the methods I enrolled, and they worked effectively. Now I just have the Emery Pad which is very effective and do not have to do the first three items. The Emery Pad is an alternat to your furniture.  It allows your cat to scratch and sharpen his/her claws.

If you effectively implement these methods you to can  stop cat scratching.
